Fitou wine: the oldest controlled designation of origin in Languedoc

Neighboring the Corbières massif while being closer to the Mediterranean Sea, the Fitou vineyard is subject to the typical wind of the region, the Tramontane. This cold, dry, and powerful wind helps to "clean" the sky of these clouds, thus providing the vines with ideal sunshine.

Part of the Heritage range, which includes iconic wines of the Occitanie region , the An 990 Fitou vintage is carefully produced in order to reveal all the characteristics of its terroir. Year 990 Fitou refers to the date of the first written trace of the Fitou estate.
