Heritage "An 806" red Corbières 2020 X6

It was in 806 that we found the first traces of the Château de Peyrepertuse, a legacy of the Cathars who built the vertiginous citadels, still dominating the vineyard. The Corbières offer an extraordinary geological diversity of schists, limestone and rolled pebbles.

All the grapes are picked by hand. Maceration carbonic acid lasts from 10 to 18 days for Syrah and a traditional maceration with total destemming is carried out for Grenache and Mourvèdre. After malolactic fermentation, the different grape varieties are assembled and the wine is aged in 225 litre Bordeaux barrels for about 8 months. After a light fining and bottling, this wine was kept for several months before marketing.

The color is a deep, dense ruby. The nose reveals powerful aromas of mocha and coffee. The mouth, balanced and harmonious, offers a very nice roundness to the attack, aromas of ripe fruit and breadth. This wine has substance, grain, a finish sweet and almost endless.

Keep away from sunlight and at a constant temperature

Ideal at 18°C ​​with grilled red meats, tagines, stews and mature cheeses.
