What makes Clos du Temple so special?

This award bears witness to the exceptional quality of the cuvées produced on the  historic terroir of Cabrières, which demonstrates that the Languedoc is a prime region for producing exceptional rosé wines. The choice of grapes and the biodynamic winemaking method allow wines of superior quality to be produced, notably in comparison with wines produced in regions such as Provence, the Rhône or Bandol.
The wines produced by the Clos du Temple have a magnificent colour and a unique flavour that make them perfectly suited for an aperitif, or to accompany Michelin-starred dishes. To taste the finest rosé wines of the region, clos du temple is the product to choose. The wines produced by the estate are certified organic and are among the best rosé wines in the region."
In the unspoilt valley of Cabrières, the Clos du Temple is born in a vineyard of 8 hectares situated on a historic terroir, the cradle of rosé wines. As early as 1357, the rosé wines of Cabrières were served at the banquets of Louis XIV, the Sun King, where they received the appellation of Royalement contrôlée. Gérard Bertrand chose to cultivate the vine there in biodynamics and to use the horse and the mule in order to foster the connection between the mineral, the vegetal, the animal and the human.
Clos du Temple is an extraordinary rosé. The unique blend of 4 red grape varieties (Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre) and one white grape variety (Viognier) gives this rosé its singularity. to create fruity and well-balanced rosé wines with notes of red fruit aromas. Clos du Temple is an alchemy between an exceptional terroir, an unrivalled expertise and a bottle with symbolic curves.
