The Château l'Hospitalet, a celebrated centre of Mediterranean art de vivre, embraces culture, gastronomy and art in all its forms. The spirit of this unique place, nestled between land and sea, inspired us to create an iconic cuvée dedicated to Art.
This first 'Art Collection' cuvée is signed by Robert Combas, an artist steeped in the Mediterranean since his youth, embodying the Figuration Libre movement.
Robert Combas loves all colours and harmonises the most vivid contrasts. In his painting, the figure takes shape from the colours applied to the surface. It is synaesthesia.
Robert Combas at the Château l'Hospitalet
At the Château l'Hospitalet, on the occasion of an exceptional exhibition in 2022, Robert Combas's energy was on display day and night, through painting, sculpture, music and video with his group 'Les sans pattes', and through a sound and light show on the walls of the estate.
It was on this occasion that the painting 'le vin de nos paysages' was conceived and presented at the restaurant l'Art de Vivre.
The meeting of an artist and a terroir
The Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Art Collection 2020 is the result of a blend of old Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre vines located on the Massif de la Clape, composed of hard limestone.
This cuvée is a selection of exceptional plots within the Château l'Hospitalet. This terroir dedicated to the celebration of the eternal Mediterranean inspired the artist Robert Combas. This Limited Edition symbolises Dionysian culture.
