Organic month: respect for biodiversity
A prosperous period for the animal and plant world, the month of May is the ideal time to reinforce our commitments in terms of nature conservation.
On the occasion of World Biodiversity Day, we celebrate Organic Month, in order to raise awareness among as many people as possible of the need to change our consumption and production habits!
It is with this in mind that Gérard Bertrand, a steadfast defender and ambassador of environmental preservation, converted domaine de Cigalus to biodynamic farming as early as 2002, representing the ne plus ultra of organic production methods.
Since then, we have never stopped continuing and accelerating the transformation of our production methods, towards a more environmentally responsible viticulture.
Today, Gérard Bertrand is proud to announce that nearly 1,000 hectares, spread across the whole of Languedoc-Roussillon, are certified AB (organic farming) and/or Demeter (biodynamic farming).

Produced according to organic farming standards, the vines are cultivated with particular attention given to the preservation and protection of pollinating insects.
