Héritage 1877 – Saint-Chinian 2022
AOP Saint-Chinian
100 ml tasting experience
Héritage 1877 – Saint-Chinian pays tribute to the modern era, the steam-engine revolution and Saint-Chinian’s first railway line, which carried Languedoc wines to the capitals. This wine reveals the character of the great terroirs of southern France through an intense, deep and elegant expression.
Made from carefully selected plots, Héritage 1877 – Saint-Chinian is crafted from Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes, most of which are harvested by hand. Sorting in the vineyard and cellar, traditional vinification and partial ageing in barrels (33% for 9 months) bring complexity, finesse and structure. The wine stands out for its deep red colour, a bouquet combining cocoa, bay leaf, tapenade and black pepper, and a rich, smooth and velvety palate.
