Orange Gold 2023
Vin de France
100 ml tasting experience
With Orange Gold, Gérard Bertrand unveils a new cuvée: a wine of light, symbolised by the sun and the alchemical sign for gold. This wine’s striking orange colour and golden highlights pay tribute to the first orange wines, made in Georgia 4,500 years ago. Made from organic grapes and expressing every nuance of its terroir, Orange Gold is AB-certified.
Orange Gold is made using an ancient winemaking technique: white grapes are vinified and fermented in whole bunches, as they would be for a red wine. Maceration with the skins and stems gives it an intense orange colour, golden highlights and a distinctive tannic character. This blend of predominantly Mediterranean grape varieties – Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Mauzac and Muscat – offers a unique profile, remarkable finesse and aromatic subtlety.
