Clairette du Languedoc Adissan
Atisus is the result of a partnership with the winegrowers of the Adissan cellar, a story of men who pass on from generation to generation, the history, quality and authenticity of this appellation and the culture of Clairette d'Adissan.
Clairette d'Adissan, 2,000 years old, is considered the oldest indigenous grape variety in Languedoc (dating back to the first century BC).
At the foot of the Vissou peak, 30 km from the sea, the appellation enjoys a hot and dry Mediterranean climate in summer. The predominance of the north wind is mitigated by the first foothills of the Cévennes.
"Atisus" is a tribute to the history of the village of Adissan, and more specifically to an important Roman villa located to the south of the village which gave its name.
• TASTING NOTES •
Beautiful golden yellow color. Pleasant, delicate, and complex nose with notes of white-fleshed fruit, dried fruit (hazelnuts, etc.), honey, and white flowers. The overall balance is subtle, with a mouthfeel that reveals roundness and smoothness. The finish remains very long and harmonious.
• FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS •
Serve at 10 to 12°C, as an aperitif or with lightly seasoned dishes. Vegetarian paella and blue cheeses are perfect as accompaniments. It also pairs perfectly with slightly spicy exotic cuisine.
