Wine description
Before being an organic wine, Autrement must first be a premium wine subject to the high quality standards common to all wines signed by Gérard Bertrand. The consistency of quality is ensured by the blending of different terroirs. Gérard Bertrand's commitment to the environment is reflected in this range through AB certification by Ecocert — the benchmark consumer label in France — as well as through environmentally responsible packaging (recycled paper label, raw cardboard, Procork natural cork). This range is part of a sustainable development policy focused on the preservation of wine-growing landscapes and the development of farming that respects the environment and biodiversity. Best enjoyed at 12°C as an aperitif, with shellfish and seafood, grilled fish or fish in sauce, or with goat's cheese.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes, harvested by hand, are pressed immediately after picking. After cold static settling, the must is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal aromas and freshness of the product. Temperature control also helps maintain the freshness and integrity of the aromas.
Tasting note
This wine with a clear, brilliant robe with green highlights develops on the nose fine aromas of citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit) and yellow fruits. The palate is quite fine and pure, well balanced and defined. Fresh and with a beautiful breadth, the palate is in harmony with the citrus aromas revealed on the nose, accompanied by light notes of menthol. Balanced, elegant, fine and round, the persistent finish evolves towards notes of fresh fruit and flowers.
