Wine description
- Gérard Bertrand reveals the history of the great terroirs of the South of France.
- 1130 pays tribute to the first fortification of the city of Carcassonne, a medieval jewel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The vineyard benefits from oceanic influences that bring a beautiful freshness to the wine, as well as Mediterranean influences that provide ripeness and beautiful fruity aromas.

aged cheeses.
Winemaking and ageing
Harvesting takes place when the grapes reach optimal ripeness. The grapes are destemmed upon arrival at the winery and then vinified in a traditional manner. Daily pump-overs allow for gentle extraction. The vatting lasts around twenty days with precise temperature control. After pressing, the wine rests in vat for malolactic fermentation before being aged in barrels.
Tasting note
The colour is a beautiful deep purple red.
The nose reveals a generous and
complex bouquet of blackberry jam
and sweet mentholated spice notes.
The palate is rich and fresh, offering beautiful
flavours of dark fruit and spices with a
long finish.
