Muscat de Rivesaltes comes from a terroir shaped by the rivers and natural terraces of Roussillon. This naturally sweet wine is distinguished by its aromatic freshness, sweetness from the grapes’ natural sugars, and vibrant aromas of Muscat and candied fruit.

The Muscat de Rivesaltes appellation takes its name from the town of Rivesaltes, meaning ‘high banks’ in Catalan. The vineyard, made up of small terraced plots, extends around the historic village of Tautavel. The varied soils and dry climate produce an expressive, refined and naturally sweet Muscat. What sets this cuvée apart is mutage: the addition of alcohol to stop fermentation and preserve the grapes’ natural sugars.

Winemaking

• Direct pressing on arrival at the cellar.
• Cold settling, followed by 48 hours of rest for the must.
• Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
• Mutage to stop fermentation and preserve the natural sugars.
• Bottled in spring.
