• Château des Karantes is an exceptional vineyard located in the heart of a small valley, surrounded by the rocky cliffs of the Massif de la Clape, classified as a natural park.
• The estate overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and offers a remarkable panorama of the coast and the hinterland composed of garrigue and pine forests.
• The climatic conditions are exceptional: both in terms of the duration of sunshine, the quantities of heat stored during the day by the limestone and released at night to the grapes, and the effect of the Mediterranean Sea which tempers summer temperatures.
• Since the 2017 vintage, the estate has been certified AB ( organic wine ) and DEMETER ( Biodynamic farming) .

Harvests are triggered following regular ripeness checks, through berry tasting as the harvest approaches. The harvest is done by hand and the grapes are sorted in the vineyard and upon arrival at the winery. Each grape variety is handled separately: the Carignan and a portion of the Syrah are vinified by whole-bunch maceration, while the Mourvèdre and the Grenache are vinified by traditional maceration. At the end of winter, the different grape varieties are blended and the majority of the wine is transferred into French oak barrels for approximately 12 months of ageing. The remaining portion of the wine is aged in tank in order to bring freshness to the final blend, which takes place just before bottling.
