Wine description
Pack of 12 × 75 cl bottles of Château de Villemajou Grand Vin red, AOP Boutenac, 2023 vintage, with a free magnum (1.5 L) of Château de Villemajou Grand Vin red 2020 in a wooden case (worth €109).
A ‘world of roundness’ reflected in its rounded pebbles, rolling landscape and full, supple texture on the palate. Château de Villemajou is the family estate Gérard Bertrand inherited from his father, where he learned to be a winemaker. The red grand vin is made from the estate’s finest plots.

of lamb, game or aged cheeses.
Winemaking and ageing
The remarkable quality of this cuvée lies in the exceptional quality of the old Carignan and Syrah vines. The harvest is done by hand and begins once the berries have reached full ripeness. A portion of the Syrah and Carignan is vinified using whole-bunch maceration. A traditional maceration is carried out on the other grape varieties. The wines are blended after malolactic fermentation and then placed in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels in our cellar for ageing of 12 months. The wine is then kept for a further 12 months before being released for sale.

toasted bread, liquorice, and clove, and offers
powerful and elegant aromas of stewed fruits,
gentle spices, leather, and
roasted notes.
